Decarbonisation in the recent time has become very critical to address climate risks and build a more sustainable world.
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), or sequestration, is a climate-mitigation technology that captures CO2 emissions from large industrial sources—such as power plants, cement factories, and steel production—and transports them to be stored permanently deep underground, typically in saline aquifers or depleted oil and gas reservoirs.
